Mason Santiago is a dynamic 6’3” guard known for his scoring ability, shooting touch, and well-rounded offensive skill set. A standout at St. Peter’s Prep, Santiago established himself as one of the program’s most accomplished players while showcasing the ability to impact games as a versatile scorer, playmaker, and perimeter threat.

High School

Santiago built an impressive career at St. Peter’s Prep, finishing with 1,136 career points, 650 rebounds, 300 assists, 109 three-pointers, and 159 steals across 119 games. His production earned him a place among the most accomplished scorers in program history, becoming just the 15th player in St. Peter’s Prep history to surpass 1,000 career points.

During his senior season, Santiago averaged 11.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game, while contributing 26 three-pointers and 54 steals. His ability to score from the perimeter, attack defenses, facilitate for teammates, and impact the game on both ends of the floor made him a versatile piece for one of New Jersey’s premier high school programs.

Santiago played a key role in leading St. Peter’s Prep to the NJ Non-Public A Championship, capping his high school career with a state championship. His standout season earned him All-Hudson County First Team honors and All-NJ Non-Public Second Team recognition.

Personal

Born on May 10, 2007, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Santiago is the son of Shjan Santiago and Ed Santiago. He has a sister, Amaya Santiago, a brother, Joshua Santiago, and a dog named Titan. Away from the court, he enjoys playing video games.

Santiago’s favorite artist is Destroy Lonely, with “Racks Blue” and “On the Floor” among his favorite songs. He is a fan of Marvel, with his favorite movies and shows including Marvel films, Prison Break, and Love Island. He is also a passionate New York Knicks fan.

Before and after games, Santiago’s routine includes listening to music and watching his own highlights as he prepares for competition and reflects on his performance.
